Karolinska Institutet is seeking a doctoral student to study for a PhD in the field of endocrinology and metabolism with focus on white adipose tissue. The proposed project aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms governing adipose inflammation in obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. This involves both experimental work but also analysis of large data sets obtained from arrays and other high-throughput systems. Several studies are performed in collaboration with other groups at the national and international level.
