Isolating PYK2, a non-receptor tyrosine kinase, more then 10 years ago, they demonstrated its critical role in propagating mitogenic signals. Since then, PYK2 was found to play a key role in cell migration, invasion and metastasis, and it is currently target for cancer therapy.
The major goal of their studies is to understand, at the molecular level, how PYK2 regulates cell growth, proliferation and migration, and thereby facilitating cancer progression, invasion and metastasis. Using multidisciplinary experimental approaches, they apply the most advanced biochemical, molecular biology, and cell biology techniques.
They are now seeking an individual with a BSc or MSc in Biological sciences, with at least one year's research experience.
