The PhD position is within the vascular biology laboratory which has a long standing interest in the regulation of vascular processes by factors of the coagulation and fibrinolysis pathways. Recent emphasis is on the role of these factors in relation to inflammation in diseases such as atherosclerosis. This position will involve participation in existing projects and development of own research area.
The selected candidate will have a background in cell biology and/or experience in handling laboratory mice. Hands-on experience with methods in cell biology and biochemistry and/or histology, immunohistochemistry as well as mouse models of cardiovascular disease will be an advantage.
