The main objective of the work is the elucidation of the molecular basis of human sex development to better define phenotypes of these complex diseases. Goals: 1. Gain new insights in the mechanisms regulating sex differentiation in humans. 2. Improve diagnosis and management of these patients, in agreement with the newest concepts of care for these diseases. Techniques used in the lab include standard cell biology, molecular biology and genetics, biochemistry, exome-sequencing, ChIP-sequencing and mass spectrometry techniques.
Applicants must hold a master degree and have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. Previous experience in such work as well as a broad interest in translational research will be important selection criteria as are the educational background, motivation, independence and creativity. It is expected that the successful candidate has good English communication skills. Knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
