The Emmy Noether research group "Molecular Endocrinology" of Dr. Henriette Uhlenhaut at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity of the Helmholtz Zentrum München is looking for a highly motivated PhD student. The lab investigates the transcriptional regulation of metabolism by nuclear hormone receptors using a combination of mouse genetic and genomic techniques.
The tasks include: leading a research project in the field of Mechanisms of gene regulation by nuclear hormone receptors; phenotypic analysis of transgenic and knockout mice; a wide variety of molecular biology experiments in cultured cells; learning and establishing cutting edge genomic techniques and performing bioinformatic data analysis (next generation sequencing).
