The University of Manchester are inviting applications for PhD study as a prestigious NIHR fellow. Funding is available for strong candidates to apply with the goal of working on congenital hyperinsulinism at the University of Manchester. This work is internationally leading and restricted to very few centres.
The application process is part of the National Institute for Health Research’s (NIHR) Rare Diseases Translational Research Collaboration (TRC) and can be found here. This is a new initiative set up to study the causes, impacts and treatment of rare diseases. The TRC’s Rare Diseases Clinical Fellowship Programme is designed to support researchers whose work focuses on people and patient-based clinical and translational research.
All applicants must be able to relocate, at their own expense, to take up post at the host organisation.
The deadline for applications is 21 January 2014. For further information, please contact Professor Mark Dunne ([email protected]).
