'Perspectives' - a poster competition with a difference

01 Apr 2009

Scientists are increasingly being asked to communicate ethical and social issues that arise from their work. However, there are few opportunities for researchers at the beginning of their careers to develop their skills in discussing the social implications of their research. Postgraduate and postdoctoral scientists, engineers and social scientists funded by one of the UK research councils are encouraged to explore the social and ethical implications of their research by entering perspectives - a poster session with a difference. The competition is sponsored by Research Councils UK and selected candidates will be asked to exhibit their posters at the British Science Festival in Guildford, 5-10 September 2009, For further information, details on how to apply and to view previous winning entries, please visit the 'perspectives' website below. The closing date for submissions is 8 May 2009.
