Parliamentary Links Day 2014: Debating Science and Public Trust

Members of the Society for Endocrinology attended Parliamentary Links Day 2014, held on 24 June at the House of Commons. The aim of the event is to foster dialogue between the science community and policy-makers. This year’s theme was Science and Public Trust and featured a number of speakers including  two panel debates with a lively audience Q&A, discussing the importance of public engagement and transparency. The Society for Endocrinology is one of ten learned societies that form the Parliamentary Steering Group that oversees Parliamentary Links Day.
