Paediatric Endocrine Fellowships, Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia

Applications are invited for two positions from suitably qualified medical practitioners. The positions will be available from mid 2013 for a 12 month (renewable) period in the first instance. The Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia comprises a clinical arm and a research arm, the Centre for Hormone Research. Research interests in the Centre include diabetes and its complications, growth and growth factors in brain and cancer, childhood obesity, bone health and disease.

The fellowships offer medical trainees in paediatrics the opportunity to obtain experience and further training in clinical and research aspects of paediatric endocrinology. The department has an established fellowship training programme, and the successful applicant would be expected to develop an appropriate clinical and research programme with the assistance of the Department Director and Supervisor of Fellowship training. He/she would be expected to participate in the clinical activities of the department.
