Benign adrenocortical tumours (ACTs) are common and frequently discovered incidentally during CT or MRI scans. While malignant ACTs are relatively rare, they are highly aggressive and associated with a poor prognosis. Pereira and colleagues examined the molecular profile for different ACTs, using a novel computerised evaluation method, finding that p27 and Ki-67 could be useful markers for differential diagnosis.
