Oxford Brookes University, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences are offering a three year full time PhD research studentship.

This PhD studentship will research the effect of hypothyroidism on pancreatic islet cell development and insulin signalling pathways in the ovine fetus. It will test the hypothesis that thyroid hormones mediate their effects on fetal tissues, in part, by the control of pancreatic islet cell development and insulin signalling pathways.

Home, EU and international students with a good Honours degree level equivalent to a UK degree BSc (minimum 2.1 or higher) are eligible to apply.
