The below grants and prizes may be of interest to those working in thyroid eye disease or diabetic retinopathy both in the UK and overseas:
Fight for Sight funds pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. All of Fight for Sight's grant money is allocated to research teams attached to UK academic or medical institutions. The research may be undertaken in the UK or overseas. Various project, fellowship and studentship grants exist for researchers at all stages of their careers.
The British Council for Prevention of Blindness perceives a great need for trained eyecare personnel in the developing world, and aims to provide funding to build up the eyecare resources in developing countries by providing specialist training, from community level to policy planning at national and regional levels. Several funding streams are available to both UK and overseas researchers.
