Nurse vacancy on NHS Evidence Advisory Committee

01 Aug 2011

The NHS Evidence Advisory Committee is an independent standing committee of the Board of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) that provides independent accreditation recommendations on guidance development processes and identifies and sets standards for guidance development. The committee also provides external, independent support and advice on the strategic direction of NHS Evidence.

Applicants should have a specialist or particular interest or experience in the processes used to develop, assess or implement information used to guide decision making in health or social care, for example clinical guidelines, referral guidelines, public health guidelines, policy guidance, commissioning and service guidance, clinical summaries, study synopses and best practice cases.

Committee members are expected to attend committee meetings every six to eight weeks. In addition, committee members will need to be able to deal in a timely manner with the reading of substantial committee documents. All travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed by NICE. The closing date for applications is 5pm, Friday 26 August 2011.
