Non-Clinical Lecturer in Endocrinology at UCL GOS Institute of Child Health London

Applications are invited for a Lecturer post based in the Genetics and Genomic Medicine (GGM) Research and Teaching Department at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. The post is open ended, with initial funding provided by Great Ormond St Children’s Charity (GOSHCC) for 5 years to support capacity building in the area of Paediatric Endocrinology. It aims to attract the best and brightest in the new generation of non-clinical researchers using molecular, cellular and stem cell approaches to the study of Endocrinology.

This Lecturer post is a strategic appointment in order to maintain the ICH position as leaders in endocrine research both nationally and internationally, and to develop novel translational research programmes based on the latest emerging technologies such as IPSC, single cell transcriptomics, and CRISPR/CAS-9 genetic manipulation for patient benefit. The postholder will be involved in teaching activity including the newly established Personalised Medicine and Novel Therapies MSc.

The candidate must show the potential to develop their own innovative research programme that can attract sustained extramural funding in an area that will complement and broaden existing projects.
