NIHR Clinical Lectureship positions, including Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus, University of Manchester

Added via BMJ Careers. The University of Manchester invites applications for its 2013/2014 NIHR Clinical Lectureships. The successful applicant will join the Integrated Academic Training (IAT) programme which is funded by the National Institute of Health Research Trainees Coordinating Centre (NIHR TCC).

Five NIHR funded Clinical Lectureships are available in a variety of specialties including Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus.

Applicants must have a National Training Number (NTN), PhD/MD (or for Psychiatry, applicants should be on track to obtain the qualification), have outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic and their research must complement existing research strengths within the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences.

Clinical Lectureships are for a maximum of 4 years or until Completion of Clinical Training (CCT), whichever is soonest, and will be subject to satisfactory annual review. You will spend 50% of your time undertaking research and developing your academic skills and 50% time completing specialty training.
