Via www.clinicalacademicjobs.org. This post is aimed at those who have completed a research doctorate or equivalent and show outstanding potential for continuing a career in academic medicine. The duration of the post is for a maximum of four years or until CCT is reached with six months grace, whichever is the sooner. You will combine 50% clinical specialty training with 50% academic training. The post to commence no later than 31 March 2013 provides opportunities for post-higher degree research and facilitates applications for further research funding.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a nephrology trainee with outstanding potential to develop a successful career in academic renal medicine within a thriving and supportive environment. Clinical training will be based in the Richard Bright Renal Unit in Southmead Hospital. Research opportunities and environments are available in laboratory sciences, clinical sciences, health services research and epidemiology within University of Bristol and NHS research groups and collaborators.
