“Impress your funders, develop your interview skills, receive the specific support that you will need as a basic or clinician scientist”
Our new Career Development Workshops are designed to meet the needs of basic scientists and clinician scientists building a career in academic research. By securing a place on this exclusive workshop, you will receive plentiful opportunities for interaction and discussion with peers and experienced faculty members, all in an informal atmosphere.
We are delighted that Professor Wiebke Arlt will share her working knowledge of the MRC and the Wellcome Trust grants panel at this year’s CDWs. Professor Arlt, MD DSc FRCP FMedSci, is the Professor of Medicine and Head of the Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Birmingham.
You can view the biographies of our faculty via our website online.
The free weekend workshops are developed across two tracks: Career Planning (including CV preparation, grant application and paper critique) and Fellowship/Grants (including proposals, interviews and avenues for support).
Please visit the event website for more information - registration is open until 19 August 2013.
