New impact factors of ESE’s official journals

20 Jul 2011

The new impact factors for ESE's official journals have now been announced:

The impact factor for European Journal of Endocrinology remains strong at 3.482. This is despite consistent growth in the number of papers published and is an excellent achievement for the journal. The recent invigoration in the programme of commissioned review articles, together with the strict policy on acceptance rates should stand the journal in good stead in future years. The five-year impact factor is at its highest to date, having increased to an impressive 3.927.

Journal of Endocrinology's impact factor has increased above 3 again, at 3.099 and the underlying five-year figure is 3.169. A number of new initiatives, including Rapid Communications and themed review articles should enhance the journal’s standing even further.

Journal of Molecular Endocrinology has increased its impact factor this year to 3.628, due to an impressive review article commissioning programme over the past few years. The five-year impact factor is 3.250.

Endocrine-Related Cancer continues to give the strongest showing of ESE’s four journals at 4.432, and a combined strict acceptance policy and active commissioning should stand the journal in good stead for future impact factors. Its five-year figure remains robust at 5.443.
