Two studies published in Diabetes, one using data from the Finnish Type 1 Diabetes Prediction and Prevention (DIPP) study, the other from children with newly diagnosed diabetes from five European countries, report a potential risk association between type 1 diabetes and a specific enterovirus subtype.
