We are delighted to announce that Professor JA (Hans) Romijn, from the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, will succeed Professor Christian Strasburger as Editor-in-Chief for EJE from October 2011.

Professor Romijn is chairman of the Division and the Department of Medicine of the AMC, with research focus on neuroendocrinology and neuroendocrine regulation of metabolism. We very much look forward to working with him on EJE and would like to extend our thanks to Professor Strasburger for all his hard work on the journal.
