The Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust have organised a "NeckCheck" day to screen members of the public for thyroid cancer. NeckCheck 2011 will take place at the Metrocentre, Gateshead on 24 September.

The neck exam takes a few seconds, is painless and consists of the doctor moving his/her hands across the neck to check for any lumps. Medical professionals will be in attendance all day. The Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust team are looking forward to meeting you there.
