Membership details for 2013 - important information (1)

Towards the end of this year members will receive their membership renewal for 2013. Your renewal notice will contain details on how to pay and the fee due. For 2013, an In-Training rate of just €20 will be available for members who are studying full time for an academic qualification. This does not include those studying part-time whilst working in another role (e.g. MD students). Applicants will be required to provide written proof of their student status. In addition to this, if you are a Nurse, you will be eligible for the reduced rate of €35. Further information will be sent to members in due course but don’t forget there are many benefits of being an ESE member, including:

• Reduced registration fees to the annual ECE meetings and training courses. For example ESE members received a reduction of €300 on their registration fees for ICE/ECE 2012 in Florence.

• Free online access to all five ESE journals: European Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Molecular Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer and the new Open Access journal Endocrine Connections. Reduced print subscription rates to the journals are also available to ESE members.

• Access to prizes and awards including the: Geoffrey Harris Prize; European Journal of Endocrinology Prize; Poster Prizes and Young Investigator Awards (awarded at the annual Congress).

• Access to grants to help towards the cost of attending an ESE meeting including: ESE Meeting Grant, Basic Science Meeting Grant and Journal of Endocrinology Travel Grant.

• Access to members' only section of the website, with access to a web-based directory of member endocrinologists.

• Tri-annual newsletter and regular email alerts to keep you updated with news of forthcoming activities.

• Free access to the new careers database where you can upload your CV and browse job vacancies and grants.
