Social media can be a really useful tool to enhance your congress experience. Here are a few suggestions on how to successfully use it. Don’t forget the hashtag #ECE2017.
1. Introduce yourself!
Twitter is online networking. Colleagues active in your field may be on Twitter and it’s a great way to introduce yourself before you meet in person. Twitter could be the catalyst for your next big career opportunity.
Don’t forget to share your ECE framed selfies from the Welcome Reception using #ECE 2017 and see who’s already been tweeted.
2. Hear updates first
Despite months and years of planning, last minute changes to congress sessions or logistics are inevitable. Twitter is where you’ll most likely hear about them first.
3. Get more value from your congress sessions
Use Twitter to retrieve and share links to relevant papers or other documents that are referenced in presentations.
4. Don’t miss out
Visit the ESE Facebook page to see all the latest photos from the congress. Spot all the big names in endocrinology and maybe even yourself!
5. Give your feedback
Heard a great speaker? Have burning thoughts after sitting in a debate? Do you have a suggestion for what you’d like to see more of (or less of!) at the next congress? Tweet what you like and what you don’t using the congress hashtag and we can take it all on board to improve and make next year’s congress even better.
