Libel reform continues apace

SfE is pleased to report that the Defamation Bill will return to the House of Commons on 16 April.

Amendments made to the Bill relating to press regulation had threatened to stall its progression until hundreds of supporters of the Libel Reform Campaign, including the Society for Endocrinology, wrote to their local MPs and lobbied Parliament to request that the Government urgently schedule the Bill's return to the House of Commons to complete its passage before the current parliamentary session ends.
