The Libel Reform Campaign has submitted its response to the consultation on the draft Defamation bill currently making its way through Parliament.

The Libel Reform Campaign was set up to bring reform to the UK's defamation laws, which are being used to silence academic debate and are incompatible with today's digital media.

You can read the draft bill and submit your own response at the UK Parliament website. The deadline for submissions is 10 June 2011.
