24 Jul 2012

The John Maddox Prize will reward an individual who has promoted sound science and evidence on a matter of public interest. Its emphasis is on those who have faced difficulty or hostility in doing so.

The £2000 prize is awarded by Nature and Sense About Science in commemoration of Sir John Maddox, a scientist, journalist, former editor of Nature and fierce advocate of good science in public debate.

Nominations can be made via the link below. Nominations of people at an early stage in their careers are particularly welcomed. The deadline is midnight, 20 August 2012.
