The JOE/JME Prize lecture will be taking place from 9:15–9:25 in the Main Hall. The winner of the 2013 JOE/JME prize is Dr Vicki Smith of the University of Birmingham (UK) who will be giving a short presentation on her research paper ‘Enhancing radioiodine uptake in thyroid cancer’.

This award is designed to recognise an outstanding young researcher who has made a significant contribution to research in basic endocrinology. This year’s prize is awarded by Journal of Molecular Endocrinology which alternates each year with Journal of Endocrinology in presenting this award. Both journals are official journals of the European Society of Endocrinology.
