Islet Diabetes Nurse Band 7 - Islet Transplants

Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust are seeking an experienced clinical nurse specialist in diabetes with an exceptionally dynamic team of diabetes dieticians and diabetes nurses. The post holder will need to have a sound theoretical understanding and practical experience in the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Ideally the successful applicant will have some experience in the management of insulin pump therapy and blood glucose sensors but this is not essential as training will be provided.

The post will include routine clinical work with diabetic inpatients and outpatients. Dissemination of information and teaching to the MDT is an integral part of this role and the post holder will be confident in presenting to large audiences. The post is for 16 hours per week.
