Mooso
et al. showed that Filamin A (FlnA) nuclear localisation induced apoptosis in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells during androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). The natural product genistein-combined polysaccharide (GCP) had a similar effect, by inducing FlnA cleavage and nuclear localisation. In a mouse model of prostate cancer recurrence, GCP, but not vehicle, impeded relapse following castration. These results demonstrate the efficacy of GCP in promoting FlnA nuclear localisation in prostate cancer. Mooso
