Increased levels of childhood obesity linked to the pandemic

British researchers have found that levels of obesity in young children rose from 9.9% in 2019-2020, to 14.4% in 2020-2021. The study, presented on Medscape News UK, found that obesity was most prevalent in those aged 10-11 from Black and Asian minorities, who came from deprived backgrounds.
