A message from the IMPE 2021 Meeting Chairs
November 2020

Firstly, we are deeply aware that medical and scientific professionals across the world are still facing unprecedented challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We would like to send you our very best wishes at this continuingly testing time and hope that you and your families are keeping well.

As you can imagine, we have been having many discussions regarding the impact of Covid -19 on IMPE 2021, not just in relation to holding a face to face meeting, but also the impact of asking individuals to submit abstracts at an already difficult and busy time. During the recent ICPE meeting, a number of options were discussed and it was proposed that ICPE members ask their society whether postponing the event to 2022 would be the best course of action.

The resounding decision from the societies were that we should indeed postpone, whilst ensuring that we are mindful of other society/association meetings that may be taking place. Therefore, I can confirm that IMPE 2021 in Buenos Aires, Argentina will now take place 19-22 March 2022.

Our team is working as quickly as possible in collaboration with venue, hotels and other suppliers to re-schedule this important and exciting meeting and we will continue to update this website as we work towards opening registration and abstract submission next year.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time and I wish you, and your loved ones, health and safety over the coming months.

All our best wishes,

Rodolfo Rey and Ignacio Bergada
IMPE IPOC Chairs
