The Society for Endocrinology is funding the Hormone Zone, the latest school outreach activity organised by the team at I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here.
The rules are simple. Scientists talk to school students online, answering their questions directly in live text-based chats. Students will vote for their favourite scientist and the winner will receive £500 to spend on further public engagement.
We seek scientists to apply to take part in the Hormones Zone, which will run between 15-26 June 2015.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 3 May. For more information, or to apply, visit the I'm a Scientist website or contact Angela Monasor at [email protected] or on 01225 326892.
This is a great opportunity to dip your toes in public engagement; you will develop your communication skills, gain a fresh perspective on your work, and find out what young people think about science and the role of scientists… and all of this from your very own desk!
