The School of Social and Community Medicine at Bristol, UK, seeks to appoint a postdoctoral researcher in statistical genetics to identify novel biological pathways which causally influence bone-related phenotypes in children and young adults. Initial analyses will involve the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, a densely phenotyped longitudinal birth cohort of ~10,000 mothers and children for whom genome-wide SNP, CNV and sequencing data are available.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in statistical genetics and/or genetic epidemiology, and will be qualified to the PhD level (or equivalent) in this field. The deadline for applications is 12 December 2013. For more information please visit the job advert.
