Following a workshop in New Delhi jointly hosted by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and UK Medical Research Council (MRC), which dealt with the disease burdens currently affecting the respective countries, a number of research priorities were identified which form the basis of this call for proposals.

This scheme will fund proposals from a collaboration of Indian- and UK-based research teams that aim to reduce the burden of chronic non-communicable disease in both countries and ideally the international community.

The first stage of the application process is the submission of a letter of intent, which must be received by 12.30 BST on 21 October 2010. For more information please follow the link below.
