The Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre at the Institute of Cancer Research has a vacancy for a Higher Scientific Officer in their Endocrinology Team, led by Professor Mitch Dowsett, to work on a project that aims to identify the molecular features and phenotypic and genotypic determinants of response/benefit to aromatase inhibitors and other endocrine treatments in breast cancers.
The successful applicant will hold a BSc in the Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, and have post-graduate experience in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology. Experience in extraction and characterization of nucleic acids is essential, as is experience of PCR and/or Quantitative Real-Time PCR as applied to clinical materials.
