Head of Professional Education, The Stroke Association

13 May 2009

We are looking for an experienced senior manager with a sound background in training or continued learning within the healthcare sector to head up our expanding programme of high-quality stroke training and conferences for healthcare professionals. You will take charge of a dedicated team that organises and delivers our training and conference packages – including the UK Stroke Forum, the largest multidisciplinary stroke conference in the UK. You will also create a business plan that develops our professional education activities and make sure it is integrated into our corporate strategy. That means good business acumen is as vital as a strong training background within the healthcare sector. Indeed, your understanding of accredited training schemes will be backed by sound business and strategic planning experience. Add the ability to bring out the best in a team, plus ideally knowledge of stroke, and you could soon be helping us improve hundreds of thousands of lives. Initially the post is offered on a one-year contract subject to review and available funding.

Further information and an application form can be found at the link below. The closing date for applications is noon 1 June 2009. For all enquiries relating to this post please contact Research & Development Directorate; tel 020 7566 0345 or email [email protected].
