Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity raises money to support Great Ormond Street hospital in the provision of world-class care for its young patients and their families, and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illness. They are currently committed to providing the majority of grant support for the £321M redevelopment of the hospital, as well as annual grant support for research (£7.5m) equipment (£2M) and welfare/transformation projects (£3M), with some exciting new additional capital projects in the pipeline, including state-of-the-art imaging facilities and a dedicated new centre for translational research.

The successful applicant will oversee and manage the processing of the charity’s grant-making activities to the hospital, its research partner the UCL Institute of Child Health and other external grant recipients. They will also oversee the gathering, verification and sharing of information relating to the charity's funding commitments, in order to support fundraising activities and donor/Trustee/media communications – to include measuring and reporting on the impact of charity funding, especially in terms of patient benefit. The post holder will be responsible for a team of four, comprising the Marketing Communications Manager (Major Gifts Fundraising), Scientific Research Manager, Grants Manager and Grants Administrator. They will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications, but work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Finance and Support Services/Deputy Director of Finance.
