Reporting to the Head of Grants Management, this role involves considerable responsibility for managing key relationships internally and externally, and strategic input to the development and monitoring of new procedures for grants management. It also requires you to set clear, achievable objectives and performance indicators to enable effective resourcing and the personal development of your staff.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate – preferably in the sciences – with either a PhD or MBA, who has extensive experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in a scientific project management setting, a proven track record of successful people management and strong IT and database management skills. Knowledge of the academic funding environment and practices would be highly advantageous.
