Genetic and socioeconomic difference observed in obesity risk

A study published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism suggests that the risk of developing obesity and hypertension is far greater among women in low- and middle-income countries than men. In some cases the risk was almost 3 times as high for developing obesity for women than men.
