Free webinar on circadian clock from University of Birmingham (1)

08 Jun 2020

The Institute of Metabolism & Systems Research at the University of Birmingham invite you to their next public talk on Friday 12 June at 3pm BST

Satchidananda Panda (Salk Institute for Biological Sciences) will exploret he genes, molecules and cells that keep the whole body on the same circadian clock. A section of the hypothalamus called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) lies at the centre of the body’s master clock and gets input directly from light in the eyes, keeping the rest of the body on schedule.

Professor Panda is exploring time-restricted eating (TRE) and how this
can have profound impacts on treating overeating disorders, diabetes
and obesity.
