Free places to attend Sense About Science media training workshop

01 May 2013

The Voice of Young Science (VoYS) media workshop, Standing Up for Science, is taking place on Friday 14 June 2013 at the Society of Biology in London. The Society for Endocrinology are offering five free priority places to our Student, Scientist-in-Training, Clinician-in-Training and Associate Members along with five SfE travel grants of up to £200 to support those attending.

The Society for Endocrinology is an annual partner of the VoYS, Sense About Science’s young scientist programme. These media workshops have been designed for early career researchers who are passionate about science and want to communicate research to a wider audience. The workshops combine discussion of science-related controversies in media reporting with practical guidance to help younger scientists make a greater contribution to public debates.

Applications must be received by 5pm on Thursday 6 June 2013 – further information and details on how to apply are available in the Grants section of our website. Places will be offered on a first come first served basis so if you’re keen to attend, don't delay in submitting your application. If you have any queries about the workshop, travel grant or application process, please contact the Society.
