Foundation for Prader-Willi Research Grants

The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research invites research proposals relevant to all aspects of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Priority will be given to the following areas of research, although alternative areas of high scientific merit will also be considered:

• Molecular basis of the PWS phenotype; neurobiology of PWS;
• Regulation of appetite and energy balance in individuals with PWS; development and evaluation of therapeutic interventions to regulate appetite and satiety in PWS;
• Development and evaluation of novel therapeutic interventions using in vitro and in vivo models;
• Etiology of medical complications in PWS; development and evaluation of therapeutic interventions

Applications of up to up to $70,000 will be accepted from academic institutions, medical centers, nonprofit organizations or for-profit orgranizations in the US or abroad. The deadline for applications is 13 December 2013. For more information please visit the grant website.
