For the record: does exposure to BPA during pregnancy affect aggressive behaviour in children?

The Society for Endocrinology Endocrine Disruptors Special Interest Group and Sense About Science have responded to reports in several UK national newspapers suggesting that bisphenol A (BPA) could be causing behavioural problems in young girls.

In the response Professor Richard Sharpe (Edinburgh), convenor of the Endocrine Disruptors SIG, points to the study's confounding factors concerning diet and urine BPA measurements, neither of which were addressed in the news reports.
