Failure of specialist doctors to secure consultant posts – report published in RCP journal

Analysis of the 95 responses received from an online survey of doctors who completed specialist diabetes training between January 2008 and September 2010 shows that one third of doctors completing specialist training in diabetes and endocrinology fail to secure substantive consultant posts.
