Salary: £19,000 - £20,000

Bioscientifica is a leading international provider of services to medical and scientific societies and to the pharmaceutical industry. Bioscientifica is the commercial division of the Society for Endocrinology, the major UK learned society representing scientists, clinicians and nurses working with hormones.  The Society promotes and supports all aspects of endocrinology for the public benefit.

Bioscientifica is looking to recruit an Events Coordinator to join its Client Services team.

This post would ideally suit a candidate with a minimum of 12 months experience in a previous events role as well as exhibition and sponsorship management.

Reporting to the Events Manager, the successful candidate will assist the Events Manager on a project by project basis to deliver total client satisfaction through the successful management of allocated events; in compliance with all company procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Having an understanding of relevant client contracts and notifying line report if activities have been requested outside of contract
  • Communicating with internal and external clients as needed, and ensuring that an exceptional level of service is delivered
  • Collaboration with the Events Manager, on project requirements regarding registration and delegate communications.  Taking the lead as requested to initiate and manage these processes
  • Managing smaller events and attending and managing these events onsite with minimal supervision
  • Be both proactive and responsive to all events enquiries via the telephone, email and website
  • Reconciliation of events under their direct management and provision of assistance as required in the reconciliation of other events

  • Demonstrates a ‘can do’ positive attitude, is willing to go the extra mile to help themselves and others deliver in their role
  • Appropriately investigates problems, situations or opportunities to enhance understanding and provide suggested solutions
  • A willingness to travel in the UK and internationally
