The call covers research on the brain and related diseases, human development and ageing, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and obesity and rare diseases. The closing date for initial applications is 2 October 2012 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time).

FP7 is the short name for the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. This is the EU's main instrument for funding research in Europe and it will run from 2007 to 2013.
