The European Society of Endocrinology’s journals have been greatly successful over the past few years which is reflected in the newly released 2016 impact factors.
Endocrine Connections has received a remarkable first impact factor of 2.541. This relatively new journal is the first society-owned open-access journal dedicated to endocrinology and its success is a testament to the high quality of the published articles and the hard work of the editorial board, including late Editor-in-Chief Dr Jens Sandahl Christiansen.
The 2016 impact factor of the society’s flagship journal, European Journal of Endocrinology has risen to 4.101, the highest in its history. EJE remains in the top quartile of journals in endocrinology and metabolism. This reinforces EJE’s standing as a leading journal in the field of clinical endocrinology and metabolism.
ESE also endorses a portfolio of journals whose 2016 impact factors have all improved over 2015 values:
For another year in a row, Journal of Endocrinology’s impact factor continues to increase. At 4.706, it has received its highest to date, positioning it as the highest ranked basic science endocrinology journal for a second year. Journal of Endocrinology is now 26th in its category of 138 journals.
The Journal of Molecular Endocrinology’s impact factor has increased by 21% to 3.577. Now the leading journal in molecular endocrinology, Journal of Molecular Endocrinology continues to be highly influential in its field.
Endocrine-Related Cancer has received a 2016 impact factor of 5.267, its highest since 2003. The journal remains in the top quartile of both its categories, ranking 21/138 in the endocrinology and metabolism category and 41/217 in the oncology category.
We are delighted with this result and would like to thank the world-class editors, authors and reviewers to whom this success can be attributed.
