ESE AGM 2015, Going from Strength to Strength

The European Society of Endocrinology Annual General Meeting was held today at ECE 2015. During the AGM, the membership was given an update on ESE activities, which continue to go from strength to strength. 

The major update was on the new composition of the ESE Executive Committee, with new members Marta Korbonits and Jérôme Bertherat joining the Executive Committee to chair the Science and Clinical Committee respectively, taking over from the much valued Ilpo Huhtaniemi and Pia Burman.

The most important business was the formal handover in the ESE Presidency from Philippe Bouchard to AJ van der Lely.  Philippe will be missed for his vision, enthusiasm and the massive impact that he has had on ESE and European endocrinology.  However, he leaves ESE in very safe hands with AJ who has a long history with the Society and we know he will take forward ESE activity in an exciting way.
