Researchers who have benefited from a European Research Council (ERC) grant are invited to apply for an additional ERC Proof of Concept Grant to establish proof of concept, identify a development path and/or an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) strategy for ideas arising from an ERC-funded project.

The grants support the commercialisation of ideas generated in the course of an ERC-funded project by providing funds to support work to establish whether, in principle, the idea has near term market potential.
