Endocrine Specialist Nurse (1)

Added via NHS Jobs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Endocrine Specialist Nurse to join the multidisciplinary Endocrinology Team at York Hospital.

The post holder will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurse (level 1) with excellent communication and leadership skills and an interest in endocrinology and diabetes care. They will be required to support the multidisciplinary team in MDT clinics and be involved in running nurse led clinics. York Hospital is a merged organisation incorporating sites in both Scarborough and York. The post holder will be expected to support the MDT working across both sites.

Candidates will be expected to have a willingness to acquire or demonstrate a knowledge and awareness of the current clinical and professional issues affecting people with endocrine disorders. They will also need to be competent in teaching both patients and healthcare professionals, supervise team members and share good practice. Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams is essential.

There is no closing date, but interviews are scheduled for 24 May 2013.
